Do you have time to design, construct and maintain your website?

A larger business will have the finance and facilities to employ either a single person or a department to design, update and maintain their website, but this is a luxury the smaller business cannot afford. As for the sole trader, can you afford to divert your time from your customers to design and build your website?

Let me assist you below is a brief outline of the services I provide:

Website Construction
I can provide a service in which your website will be designed with your consultation either in person, or via the telephone and e-mail. The website will be created using the latest website and graphic design software on the market. Artwork can be created from scratch if required, or you may supply your own artwork for use in the sites construction. I do require that any text included in the pages is composed and supplied by the client. Once the website has been constructed, it will be uploaded onto a live test sub domain so you can view your website from your own computer on the internet. If there are any adjustments or alterations that need to be done, they can be made prior to uploading onto your chosen server. The website will be constructed using either HTML, CSS or which format is best suited for the sites requirements.

Website Hosting
If you do not already have a hosting server, or your current one is not sufficient enough to host your site, then I can arrange a UK based hosting server on your behalf. There are various packages that can be provided which include a domain name for the site, and are supplied at reasonable prices.. The web space and domain are usually set up in about 24 hours, but I have had experience of them working within the hour. Please contact me for details on the available packages.

Search Engine Submission
Once your site is up and running, it needs to be advertised on the internet search engines. Website's are not automatically added to these and there is a charge for this service which varies from host to host. Without being submitted to the search engines, the only way that surfers will find out about your site, is by you telling them direct or from word of mouth. The other way is by coming across the site by chance whilst browsing the internet. So to get your website included in these searches, you will need to have a search engine subscription set up. This can be arranged when I upload your website onto the hosting server.

Website Maintenance
From time to time, your website will need to be updated or improved. You may like to carry out this task yourself as and when required. Or you may request me to do these alterations on your behalf. I offer a maintenance service for your website to cover this. One scheme is based on a hourly rate for use when the site is only updated say only a couple of times a year. The other scheme is a package of set hours paid for in advance. This is ideal for website's which are updated or altered on a regular basis. At a later date, additional pages can also be added to the website or existing ones completely rebuilt.This is covered by a separate fee depending on the work to be carried out.

Just For Businesses? No
The above services are not just restricted to businesses and sole traders, they are also available to any clubs or societies which require a website built to promote themselves. I will construct a personal website for anyone for a non-commercial use. These can be for a family website, displaying your photographs or a website connected to your hobby. I have created my own website for my model building displaying completed models and ongoing projects. A personal website can be used for whatever purpose you like, the choice is yours.
